Oil pushes Tenaris but does not save the Ftse Mib

Another session in the red for Piazza Affari, which despite Jerome Powell's reassurances does not pick up on Wall Street's positive mood and loses another 0,69%, with the Ftse Mib index falling to 25.141 points. Today the protagonist of the day is oil, whose rise in prices brings up Eni (which however loses in the final and closes almost flat) but above all Tenaris, which stands out among the major stocks with a gain of almost 1%, just below Nexi and Campari. Saipem, on the other hand, did not benefit from it, losing more than 1%. Black gold approaches 76 dollars a barrel for Brent, the highest since April 2019, and reaches 74 dollars a barrel for Wti, which is also very close to the value of over two years ago. According to experts, the rally is destined to continue in the coming months, and a return to the threshold of 100 dollars a barrel is even expected by the end of 2022: the triple digit has not been reached since 2014.

In Milan, among the worst stocks, however, Diasorin (which loses almost 2%), Inwit and Atlantia should be noted, with drops of more than 3%. On the banking front, the best is still Finecobank +0,6% after the good performance of the previous session, with the others traveling in contrast: Unicredit and Banco Bpm are flat, Intesa Sanpaolo loses more than a percentage point. The other European lists are also in negative territory, with the exception of London which closed slightly higher, while opens little move Wall Street, with the Dow Jones recording +0,1% on the day in which the data on services (disappointing) and manufacturing (better than expected) come out. The US economy is confirmed to be in full health and is moving ever faster towards an accelerated recovery, even if exports are suffering from the slower rebound of trading partners. The growing tensions also weighed on the negative session of almost all international stock exchanges between Russia and the United Kingdom off the Crimea: Moscow accuses a British naval vessel of violating its waters, the British return to sender claiming to be in Ukraine.

The Btp Bund spread increased slightly: on the day in which Prime Minister Mario Draghi reported to Parliament on the European Council, and the day after having received Ursula Von der Leyen's promotion with flying colors for the PNRR, the index which monitors the "risk Italy”, which goes above 106 basis points from 105 at the opening. Gold rose, approaching 1.800 dollars an ounce, while the euro appreciated against the dollar, trading today at 1.19552.
