The transfer window: Roma and Juve promoted, Inter, Milan and Lazio went well, Napoli disappointed

THE CALCIO MARKET SCREEN - Two weeks after the end of the market, Roma and Juve are the first in the class even if the unknowns remain Benatia and Vidal - Benino the Milanese and Lazio, even if there are no famous names - Very disappointing instead Napoli: from De Laurentis a lot of talk but very few facts and Benitez is worried

The transfer window: Roma and Juve promoted, Inter, Milan and Lazio went well, Napoli disappointed

In view of the last two weeks of the transfer market, let's try to take stock of how the big names in Serie A have moved so far. There is still time to remedy the shortcomings, while those who have behaved well for now must be careful not to slip right on the woolen wire, close to the start of the championship.

ROME, VOTE 8

If you add Iturbe to an already strong team, the object of desire of half of Europe, the vote can only be high, also taking into account the precious additions of the full-back Cole and the international Astori, an excellent alternative to the starting central couple, formed by Castan and Benatia . Roma's vote is also such because up to now Sabatini has managed to retain Benatia (the coach Garcia himself hoped that he will remain in yellow and red), for whom Chelsea has already formalized an offer of 37,5 millions. If he manages to dampen the English sirens, this assessment will also be confirmed at the end of the market, otherwise his task will be to look for a suitable replacement (Manolas is in pole position, but Roma are also probing for Basa from Lille and Chiriches of Tottenham), a far from simple undertaking.

JUVENTUS, VOTE 8

He has lost Conte, but he has not yet sold Vidal. The Italian champions then placed four shots to knock out their potential rivals: Morata, Romulo, Evra and Pereyra, in the face of all those teams who are floundering in search of loans and zero parameters. Of course, the possible sale of Vidal will weigh heavily on the final judgment, even if as a consolation there would be a capital gain of around 50 million euros, a godsend for the Juventus coffers. To this must be added an end-of-the-market gift that Marotta and Paratici are trying to give to the new coach Allegri, with not bad names of the caliber of Lavezzi for the attack and Manolas and Luisao for the defense, just to let the rest of the team understand group that the favorites for the Scudetto are always them.

INTER, VOTE 7

No exceptional names, but a substantial market attentive to Mazzarri's needs. Vidic has arrived on a free transfer, M'Vila, Dodò and Osvaldo are on loan, Medel has arrived at the Nerazzurri following an exhausting negotiation. The fans perhaps expected a market with more sparkling tones, but considering that we are in the middle of the reconstruction phase after the mass farewell of the colony of the Argentines and the heroes of the Treble, Mazzarri can work on a good basis. Of course, as the coach himself often makes clear, the quality of the squad is crucial if you want to reach certain goals, provided you can invest large sums of money, which Inter cannot do at the moment. The possible further additions are Biabiany from Parma and Rolando from Porto. Negotiations are already at an advanced stage for both. Parma are not satisfied with 3-4 million for the full-back and the offer will have to be raised, while Porto know they can no longer keep Rolando and, with a figure of around 5 million, the deal could be closed.

MILAN, SCORE 6,5

As for Inter, there is no recall name, the one that could bring people back to San Siro. True, but perhaps not entirely, because AC Milan actually have a similar name: Pippo Inzaghi. At this moment the fans consider him the icon of the new Milan, and place their dreams and hopes in him. The market was low cost, but the grafts were of a good standard: from Alex (free transfer) to Rami (repurchased from Valencia), from Menez (free transfer) to Armero (on loan), without forgetting the gift from Real Madrid , who courtesy of Florentino Perez gave Milan Diego Lopez, new starting goalkeeper. Not bad for a team that will only play in the championship, waiting to assign an extra point if, as seems obvious, the famous "coup" will arrive between now and the end of the market: the fight seems to have been reduced to a head-to-head between Cerci (only if Torino lowers its demands because 18-20 million is too much) and Douglas Costa, a young 23-year-old talent from Shakhtar, provided that the Ukrainians say yes to payment in several installments of the 25 million cost of the transfer. From Milanello, meanwhile , Galliani closed the door to the transfer market with regards to Balotelli: “I can say that it remains 99,8% periodical. Not 99,9% anymore because the mathematicians told me it's wrong."

LAZIO, VOTE 6,5

The new coach Pioli was able to experiment right away with what we can define as a "Lotito-style" market: zero headers but a lot of substance and a good nose for opportunities. The arrivals of Basta from Udinese, Parolo from Parma and, above all, the young Dutchman De Vrij from Feyenoord, one of the revelations of the last World Cup, cannot be explained otherwise. It's not over yet, because Lotito, having filed the election campaign for the presidency of the FIGC in favor of him with the election of Tavecchio, can once again think about the market, and attempt to attack a couple of reinforcements. On his list, the names of Vlaar or Paletta stand out as central.

NAPLES, VOTE 5

The big disappointment of this transfer market. Fire and flames were expected from De Laurentiis, but nothing. Apart from the addition of strong central defender Koulibaly, it is otherwise the same team as last year. The fans are running out of patience, the city is buzzing and the official start of the season is approaching. The hunt continues for Manchester United's Fellaini (Van Gaal himself gave him the go-ahead saying it doesn't fit into his plans), yet also a difference of two million euros for the loan (Napoli offers 2,5, 4,5, United ask for XNUMX) is blocking the deal. Here then is the alternative ready, or rather the Villarreal midfielder De Guzman. Not exactly a prominent name, not exactly what Neapolitan fans dreamed of to make a good impression in the league and in the Champions League, Athletic Bilbao permitting.
