Minister Boschi: "Yes to dialogue, but no to school run by trade unions"

Dialogue with the trade unions yes but resignation from one's responsibilities on the school no. In view of the examination of the school reform in the Montecitorio hall, it was the Minister of Reforms and for Relations with Parliament, Maria Elena Boschi, who specified it very clearly today.

"The school run by the unions doesn't work" said Boschi, bluntly, who however confirmed the government's willingness to improve the initial text of the "Good school" both on the recruitment of teachers (4 thousand more will be hired in addition to the 100 already envisaged), both on the role of the principal (who will not be a single person in charge but will have to partially share with the school board the call of the teachers and their evaluation) and finally on the tax deductions in favor of private schools.

Dialogue - underlined Boschi - "is not, however, a take it or leave it" and there are two points on which the Government cannot make concessions: no to leaving things as they are and no to handing over all power in the school to the unions.

On a more general level, "the Renzi government – said the minister – has the enormous responsibility to carry out the reforms". After all, “does anyone – he asked controversially – think that reforms can be made by Salvini or Grillo?”.

Boschi's reply lasts also to Berlusconi: "He really knows about authoritarian drifts...".
