Milan does not fold Juve (1-1) and the Scudetto challenge continues amidst poisons

Milan didn't win, Juve didn't win, but above all football didn't win. What was supposed to be the "scudetto final" will go down in history as one of the most controversial matches in our league. All the fault of Tagliavento and Romagnoli, respectively the referee and linesman of the match, who made truly sensational mistakes, but also of their respective clubs, which made the atmosphere at San Siro truly unbreathable.

Even the children knew that the match would not be "roses and flowers", but we never imagined that we would find ourselves talking about anything but football. The "crime" that unleashed the uproar occurred in the 24th minute of the first half, with Milan leading by one goal: header by Muntari, ball rejected by Buffon clearly beyond the goal line (according to Mediaset technology even by one metre!), but not for the Romagnoli linesman, which continues the action. At that moment, millions of Italian and non-Italian viewers understood that the match, so far beautiful, would never be the same. Beyond the faults of the assistant (perfectly in line!), Those of Tagliavento weigh in, who initially awarded the goal only to then retract his decision. Milan would have gone 2-0, the match most likely (in football, never say never) would have taken an all-red and black direction, also because Juventus had done very little up until then. But this arbitration error, however serious, does not justify what happened a few minutes later.

In fact, Galliani's wrath was unleashed during the interval, who first took it out on Tagliavento ("He was within a metre, a metre" the CEO shouted at the match director), then with Antonio Conte, with which very heavy words have flown. “Keep crying, since complaining pays off!” Galliani yelled, “Listen from that pulpit, here is the mafia” replied Conte. In between, there was also an exchange of views with Claudio Albanese, director of communication at Juventus: "Now will you still call the newspapers to complain!?" shouted the Rossoneri CEO, who then left San Siro in the second half before the final whistle.

There would already be enough to write a book, but Tagliavento's "horrors" didn't end there. Indeed, in the second half the wheel turned, and it was Juventus who complained (rightly). First the referee didn't see a punch from Mexes to Borriello with the ball far away (TV test in sight), then, again thanks to the verve of the Romagnoli linesman, he annulled a goal by Matri for an absolutely non-existent offside.

The post match, as expected, was incandescent. Allegri chose irony to comment on the arbitration, but poison came out of every pore: "The controversies have not affected anything, also because I don't speak anymore, that's only allowed to Marotta, because when the others do he says that you shouldn't look into someone else's house. Muntari's goal distorted the match, I don't know if they had designed the goal line wider or something else... but this only shows that it's better to keep quiet". The references to certain declarations arrived from Turin in recent days are very clear, which according to Milan ended up influencing the refereeing.

Even Juve, however, is quite angry. Conte didn't send them to Boban, currently a commentator on Sky, who considered Muntari's episode more serious than Matri's: "You're wrong, you can't say certain things, they are two regular goals disallowed, I don't understand what the difference is, are two technical errors. Tell me the difference because I can't see it. In any case, you always manage to make us argue, I came calmly and instead you tell me things like that…”. In short, poison to no end and let's leave out the stories about the final brawl (the great protagonists Ambrosini and Chiellini), all in all a "field thing".

Ah, the match ended 1 – 1, with goals from Nocerino (but Bonucci has many "merits") and Matri. Two are missing from the appeal, one on each side, just like the points that Milan and Juventus share. The championship remains very open, the duel getting closer and closer, but in this climate it will no longer be possible to play calmly. It's good that everyone realizes it, this time for real.
