The Mes and the comic joke of the cunning of Palazzo Chigi

Prime Minister Conte's argument that Italy cannot be the first to draw on Mes funds to strengthen the health system is simply laughable - But the whole Italian debate on European funds is bleak

The Mes and the comic joke of the cunning of Palazzo Chigi

"Those who want to ruin the gods first take away the reason". This ancient memory comes to mind for those who persevere in taking an interest, with a pinch of masochism, in the economic and financial policy performances staged in the theater set up by President Conte (crafty of Palazzo Chigi) with the willing collaboration of the majority and opposition supporting actors . All of these terrified of expressing any firm dissent or distinction that could cause the government crisis and the consequent round of early elections before the white semester that does not allow the President of the Republic to dissolve the Chambers. All these supporting actors have been struck by the Gods who have taken away their reason.

An example of all unreasonableness is the never-ending debate on the Mes between those who are unreasonable about the return of the troika and those who would like European funds to be disbursed not only without conditions, but also without any control over their use. Not to mention the comic joke of President Conte who declared on the appeal to the Mes that Italy cannot be the first, paraphrasing, for no reason, the famous title "go ahead, you make me laugh".

It is a debate that if it were to continue so unreasonably in the next few months, it will inevitably happen that Italy will only benefit from a few pennies of the huge funding that the EU is preparing to approve for Europe's economic recovery.

Since the EU is not Santa Claus for some countries or Santa Claus for others, it is already clear from the first information that the funds for the relaunch of the European economy will rightly be conditioned by sacrosanct conditions; among these, the presentation of shared and technically valid and understandable projects cannot be omitted; the more than reasonable payment by tranches of the funds, with technical verification of the state and timing of the execution of the work, and so on, as is imposed with absolute and desirable reasonableness on every responsible financier.

Will the Mes debate be repeated? May the Gods be kind.
