The luxury tourism forum meets in Cannes on 5 December: crisis and innovation will be discussed

Despite the crisis, luxury tourism exists and wants to anticipate the economic recovery. This will be the theme of the International Luxury Travel Market in Cannes (December 5-8), which crosses the milestone of its tenth anniversary and is preparing to chart the course of an expanding market segment.

"Our studies reveal that 2011 is proving to be growing for luxury tourism - highlights Simon Mayle, Iltm marketing manager - and 2012 will be the year of full recovery". From 5 to 8 December, therefore, Cannes will be the privileged audience for bringing together an increasingly selected demand with 1.300 suppliers, also chosen according to criteria of exclusivity, innovation and personalization of the proposals.

“The Iltm Global Trends Report – continues Mayle – showed that luxury travelers today are looking for authentic journeys full of experiences, perhaps in destinations outside the traditional circuits, with great attention to the environment. In Cannes we will provide the market with the tools to respond to this type of trend”. According to the marketing manager, after all, this has been the orientation that has allowed the fair to grow steadily over the past ten years: "We have constantly tried - confirms Mayle - to look for the newest and most exciting innovations for luxury travel , with offers in every corner of the world”.
