The FII invests in 360 Capital 2011

Fondo Italiano launches operations in the venture capital sector with the investment in the 360 ​​Capital 2011 fund launched by 360 Capital Partners SAS

Today, after a few days of evaluations and negotiations, the Board of Directors of the Italian Fund has made its first investment in the venture capital sector with participation in the 360 ​​Capital 2011 fund. 360 Capital 2011, with a target size of 100 million euros, is the second is the second investment fund launched by 360 Capital Partners SAS, a management company founded in 2005 by a team with more than a decade of experience in the venture capital investment sector. Successful transactions carried out in Italy by the management team of 360 Capital Partners in the past include, among others, Yoox and Mutuionline, companies founded in the early 2000s and currently listed on the STAR segment of the Italian Stock Exchange

The fund in question will be mainly dedicated to early stage investments in innovative companies operating in the Internet, ICT, cleantech and medtech sectors. Fondo Italiano participated in the first closing of 360 Capital 2011, which was also attended by other Italian and foreign investors including the French Caisse des Dépôts and the European Investment Fund, financial institutions and family-offices, allowing the fund to achieve initial size of over 60 million Euros. 

Through this new line of investments, Fondo Italiano intends to support the growth of the risk capital market dedicated to newly established innovative companies (start-ups), which, although essential for the relaunch of competitiveness, is still underdeveloped in Italy.
