Fai launches volunteer summer camps for young people

After the positive experience of Fai days of spring last weekend, the Italian Environment Fund opens its doors to young people by offering the opportunity to participate in a Fai volunteer camp.

Through this project Fai offers all young people between the ages of 18 and 25 the opportunity to get to know more closely some of the historical, artistic and natural places that are protected and safeguarded by the foundation set up in 1975.

With the arrival of the summer season, Fai invites young people to join one of the five volunteer camps scattered throughout Italy. Here they are: Baia di Ieranto di Massa Lubrense (NA), Bosco di San Francesco in Assisi (PG), Castle of Masino di Caravino (TO), Villa Gregoriana Park in Tivoli (RM) and Villa dei Vescovi di Luvigliano di Torreglia ( PD).

What is done in the Fai Volunteer camps?
The young Fai volunteers will be able to get to know the art and nature of these splendid places more closely, while at the same time helping to protect them, seeing how Fai takes care of cultural heritage. The volunteers who will participate in the summer camps will help FAI organize small and large events also linked to the initiative itself.

What is the cost of participation in the FAI Volunteer Camps?
To participate in one of Fai's five volunteer camps, you need to register with Fai and pay the participation fee which is 270 euros for all five camps. The fee includes accommodation for the young people for six nights at an accommodation facility near the site protected by Fai, shopping for six lunches, two dinners at as many facilities in the area, insurance and the welcome kit for new Fai volunteers.
