The Withers law firm in Milan becomes an art gallery and presents Withers Meets Art, an exhibition project dedicated to contemporary Italian art in which the works of Lisa Bridges, Gio Ponti and Francesco Vezzoli.
On the occasion of the reopening of the Milanese offices in Via Durini 18, between Piazza San Babila and Largo Augusto, from yesterday it is possible to visit the temporary exhibition that develops over 1.700 square meters of surface distributed over 3 floors, entitled Lisa Ponti in dialogue with Gio Ponti and Francesco Vezzoli curated by That's Experience, a Milanese platform that creates artistic projects of high cultural significance.
Mediating between the universe of law and that of art is London Trade Art, a project aimed at activating new connections between art and finance, which aims to connect the two spheres of knowledge, each mirror and model of society, offering a visual representation of Withers' values through contemporary visual art.
At the center of the exhibition is Lisa Ponti, daughter of artists and of Gio Ponti, "the father of all Italian architects", as defined by the Italian artist Alessandro Mendini, of which there is only one work. Her 31 works speak of the father-daughter generational dialogue, but above all they focus on the femininity of the artist, on her being a woman. This research is also underlined by the choice made by the curators to include works representing female subjects in the exhibition, such as Le Gemelle by Gio Ponti and Portrait of Sophia Loren as the Muse of Antiquity (after Giorgio de Chirico) by Francesco Vezzoli.
