In a nutshell, this is the plot around which Carlo Marroni's new novel "Il conto Vaticano" unfolds, which arrives a few months after the previous "Le mani sul Vaticano", always set in the button rooms of the Catholic church.
Marroni, Vatican correspondent for Il Sole 24 Ore for years, confirms here his ability to tell, just as happened with "Le mani sul Vaticano", which predicted the last conclave, events that could really happen, if they haven't already happened in secret . The novel, published by Rizzoli, recounts the investigation of the newly elected Pope Justin, with the help of Monsignor Ludovico Siniscalchi, on the numbers of 25 bank accounts contained in an envelope sealed by his predecessor.
