Four hundred electric cars and 750 columns within three years. It is the plan for Turin by Autolib, the car sharing of the Bollorè group, which today inaugurated the first charging station in front of the Polytechnic with five columns and three cars. The Bollorè Group's debut in Italy in sustainable mobility was inaugurated by the mayor of Turin, Piero Fassino, the Minister of Transport, Graziano Delrio and Marie Bollorè, CEO of the transalpine group.

On 18 April there will be 15 columns, to then rise to 35 in May and gradually reach the target of 750, for an investment of 13 million euros. “The initial investment is 4 million euros for 2016” specified Marie Bollorè. Until the autumn, the service will be tested by the Municipality and by large companies that want to replace company fleets with Blue Cars, Bollorè's cars designed by Pininfarina and produced in the Canavese area in Bairo. The cars and the service have already been extensively run-in in Paris, where Autolib it has 278 subscribers in Lyon, Bordeaux and Indianapolis in the United States.

“In September, when the cars will be available to all Turin residents, there will be 250 charging stations and they will not be for the exclusive use of Blue Car. Whoever buys an electric car will be able to make a contract with Iren to take advantage of the charging stations” explained the transport councilor of the Municipality of Turin, Claudio Lubatti.
