The tug of war over Greece worries but does not upset the markets: Milan +0,4%

The tug of war between the Eurogroup and the Greek government keeps the markets anxious but does not upset them: Milan (+0,47%) and London are progressing, slight losses for Frankfurt and Paris – At Piazza Affari on Saipem shields (debts reduced) and Telecom Italia (possible merger between Wind and H3G) – Bank stocks and Buzzi also did well – Tenaris, Stm and Mediaset were down.

The geopolitical picture is certainly not the best. On the Greek front, he continues the confrontation between Tsipras and the Eurogroup, awaiting a last-minute deal attempt on Friday. Unlikely, because it is known from Brussels that there is no plan B compared to what is offered in Athens.

In Ukraine, despite the truce, fighting is raging for control of the Debaltsveve railway junction. The southern border of the EU, i.e. Italy, is exposed to threats arriving from Libya.

Yet, in the midst of so many unknowns, the stock exchanges closed with discrete increases. TO Milano Piazza Affari ended the session at +0,47%, with 21.266 points, after having reached a minimum of 20.890 and a maximum of 21.328 points. The positive data on the trade balance also favor Italy's recovery. 

Frankfurt lost 0,55%, Paris 0,24%, Madrid 0,16%, while London it rose by 0,33%. Athens meanwhile lost another 2,45%.

Lo spread between Btp and Bund it narrowed to 128 basis points and the cost of the domestic 1,66-year bond fell to XNUMX%.
THEeuro, after the drop in the early morning, returned to 1,14 against the dollar.

Upon reopening Wall Street is weak: Dow Jones and S&P slow down (-0,2%). The Nasdaq remained unchanged thanks to the push from Apple (+1,2%), at 128 dollars for a capitalization of 750 billion dollars.

In Milan, the behavior of Saipem, +4% after the accounts. The company confirmed that it does not have a capital increase in the works. 

Eni falls by 0,4%.

Another featured title was Telecom Italy, +4% two days after the examination of the business plan. The possible conclusion of the merger between Wind and 3 favored the rally.

Still down Mediaset (-0,3%) despite Adreani's CEO anticipating an increase in advertising sales of between 2 and 4%.

In the banking sector it slows down Mount Paschi (-0,3%). Among the Popular, bpm salt of 1,1%, Ubi + 0,8% Bper +1,4%. The general manager of the Bank of Italy Salvatore Rossi he said he was in favor of the reform, among other things without caps on share ownership.
