The Milan Stock Exchange closes in positive territory after a series of ups and downs. After a bullish morning, the session was conditioned by news from Wall Street, disappointed by the second quarter GDP figure (+2,3%) lower than forecasts. Under the pressure of US sales, European stock exchanges slipped below parity, only to recover in the final stages.

Eventually the Ftse Mib index rose by 0,46% to 23.355 points. The best market in the Old Continent is London (+0,51%). Paris +0,48%, Frankfurt +0,38%. Start red on Wall Street: The Nasdaq index, in particular, marked a decline of 0,54%, in line with the S&P 500. Down also the Dow Jones -0,44%. Striking in the new economy the Facebook setback (-4%). But Procter&Gamble is also doing badly -3,5% despite the positive results. 

The 10-year BTP falls to 1,84% after the morning auction. The spread rose slightly to 119 basis points.

In Piazza Affari it was the day of Fiat Chrysler +5% after the announcement in the afternoon of the second quarter data. The markets like the excellent performance in North America where the profitability of the group brands rose to 7,7% from the previous 4,9%, approaching the results of Ford and GM. Turnover rose to 29,2 billion euros (+25% compared to 23,3 billion in 2014) and net profit more than doubled to 450 million. Sergio Marchionne confirmed the Ferrari hypothetical within the year and declared that "for the moment" there is no plan to sell Magneti Marelli.

Finmeccanica +2,7%, Prysmian +2,6% and Cnh Industrial +3,3% are also above forecasts. The negative note comes from Mediaset -3,6%, dragged down by the accounts of the Spanish subsidiary which loses 10% on the Madrid stock exchange. After the jump in the morning, Eni's rise (+0,5%), Enel loses 0,71%, Enel Green Power -2,28%. Generals +1,7%. Worth mentioning, among others, is the increase of Moncler +3,1%. Among the small caps great leap for Saes Getters +6,9%: net profit has tripled.
