Growing market for the low cost furniture giant. Globally, Ikea's sales grew by 3,1% to 27,9 billion euros in one year. The data refer to the end of August.
The Swedish chain has announced plans to double its sales to 50 billion euros by 2020.
Ikea said the fastest growing markets are Russia and China, but significant progress was also made in North America during the year.
"As southern Europe continues to feel the effects of the economic crisis, the group is gaining market share in almost all areas," Ikea said in a statement, adding that between 2012 and 2013 the stores were visited by 690 million people.
The company currently has 303 stores worldwide.
