Profits up slightly for the Swedish group Ikea. Thanks to the high demand in North America, the landing in South Korea, the vigorous growth in China and the loyal European market theIkea fiscal year 2014, closed last August 31, reports a net profit of 3,3 billion euros, an increase of 0,4% compared to the previous year. Through its 315 warehouses, Ikea achieved a turnover of 29,29 billion euros, up 2,8%. In the previous year, Ikea's turnover had stopped at 28,5 billion.
The Swedish group confirms the ambitious goal of the 50 billion in revenues by 2020. To reach this target, Ikea aims to expand into emerging markets by increasing the number of stores, particularly in India, where it plans to open 25 stores.
