Ikea: probable investment in India of 1,5 billion euros for 15-20 years

According to the Reuters website, Ikea, the Swedish multinational, according to its spokesman, intends to invest 1,5 billion euros in retail operations in India spread over 15 or 20 years.

Today, an official of the Indian Ministry of Commerce said that Ikea will invest $600 million in the Indian retail market, without giving a specific time frame.

The company currently does not have any stores in the country.
