Ifil-Exor, Cassation: sentence prescribed for Gabetti and Grande Stevens

All prescribed, as the defense claimed. The first criminal section of the Court of Cassation annulled the sentences imposed on appeal before the Turin court by the honorary president of Ifil Gianluigi Gabetti and by the lawyer Franzo Grande Stevens.

The two trusted men of the Agnelli family had been sentenced to one year and 4 months (plus a 600 euro fine) for insider trading on the occasion of the equity swap which in September 2005 allowed the Agnelli financial companies to maintain control of Fiat.

Meanwhile, the Exor stock lost 0,44% in Piazza Affari in mid-morning, in line with the downward trend of the Italian stock exchange.
