Ice, Unioncamere and Assocamerestero: boost to corporate exports

Agenzia Ice, Unioncamere and Assocamerestero have signed a new collaboration aimed at supporting the internationalization of companies.

Within the framework of the Pact for export, the strategic document for the internationalization of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the three presidents, Carlo Ferro, Carlo Sangalli and Gian Domenico Auricchio, have signed an agreement which aims to identify new lines of business to grow and consolidate thethe presence of Italian companies in the world, with particular attention to small and medium-sized enterprises and the sectors most affected by the economic crisis.

Based on the provisions of the agreement, the Promos Italia national agency, the operational arm of the Italian chamber system, will be involved in the activities that will be developed, together with the other specialized structures of the chamber system. Furthermore, with the aim of expanding the number of beneficiary companies, the three associations intend to integrate the initiatives, programs and projects of the Ice Agency with the activities carried out by the Chamber of Commerce system in Italy and abroad, supporting the creation of joint activities both in the field promotion, both for the diffusion of the initiatives of the ICE itself at company level, and within the programs for promoting the attractiveness of the territories, leveraging in particular on the use of digital technologies and on the potential of the web for the development of transnational business processes.

"We had already started a systemic and collaborative approach with the actors dedicated to the internationalization of companies for some time - recalled the president of the Ice Agency, Carlo Ferro – this agreement with the Chambers of Commerce, both in Italy and abroad, frees up a very high synergistic potential. At a time when the pandemic requires us to do more for companies and the territories in which they operate, let's join forces to increase the number of exporting companies and make the presence abroad of SMEs that occasionally export more structural".

"At a time when our country is restarting after the many difficulties of this pandemic, it is essential that Italian companies have a cohesive and structured support network at their disposal", underlines the president of Unioncamere, Carlo Sangalli. "This is what we are proposing by renewing a collaboration with the ICE agency that has been going on for years, which will help promote a more extensive, less sporadic and more structural presence of our companies on foreign markets, an objective that the Italian Chamber of Commerce system has been pursuing for some time" .

"With this agreement, the 81 Italian Chambers of Commerce abroad are making their expertise available, the result of both belonging to local business communities and consolidated market experience in support of the development of Italian SMEs and our territories" , says the president of Assocamerestero, Gian Domenico Auricchio.
