The Seminar "Balkans: new prospects for economic collaboration for Italian companies".

During 2012, Italy exported to the countries of South-Eastern Europe goods for 5,51 billion euros, importing them for 3,79 billion. Among the most exported products are those deriving from petroleum refining, followed by footwear and clothing, while among the most imported products are footwear, clothing, base metals and other non-ferrous metals.

After the address greetings, entrusted to Pier Paolo Celeste Director of the Milan Office of the ICE Agency, Mario Cospito Diplomatic Advisor to the Minister of Economic Development and Paola Brunetti of the General Directorate of Internationalization Policies and the Promotion of Exchanges of the same Ministry , the program has provided a Technical session with the interventions of Michele Amedeo, Advisor of the Directorate General for Enlargement of the European Commission who illustrated the European enlargement policies and financial support to the Balkans and Alessandro Vittadini, Associate Banker of the EBRD - European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, of which illustrated the main forms of financing. The last speech of this session was that of Marinella Loddo, Manager of the Industrial Collaboration Area and Relations with International Organizations of the ICE Agency, who described its activities in favor of the Balkans. The work program included, in the morning, the presentations of theeconomic evolution on the reference markets, with interventions focused on the development opportunities that each market offers in terms of industrial and commercial collaboration and access to national, community and international financing. For the approximately 200 participating companies, group meetings were organized in the afternoon and for each country covered by the Seminar (Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia) with the Heads of the Offices and Desk of the ICE Agency, the latter set up within the ambit of the Law 84 of 2001 on the Stabilization and Integration of the Balkans, with the task of promoting investment opportunities for Italian companies in the markets in question.
