ICE: 16 foreign buyers present at the Yarn and Fiber Show

FILO, the International Exhibition of Yarns and Fibers, and the ICE Agency have once again renewed their collaboration this year to support and promote the yarn sector on foreign markets. The two institutions have in fact organized and selected one mission of sixteen foreign buyers who took part in the 39th edition of FILO.
In addition to this mission, representatives of historical partner countries such as France, Japan, Portugal ed USA, also represented by emerging economies such as tunisia e Turkey and two journalists from the specialized magazines Twist and Textile World.

The purpose of the collaboration is to relaunch Italian products in the spinning sector in international trade; in fact, after a decidedly expansive two-year period in 2012, the Italian spinning industry suffered a slowdown due to the unfavorable economic situation.
According to the forecasts of the SMI Study Center - Italian Fashion System, in 2012 the cexport decline should stop at -7,5% and therefore the overall foreign turnover should remain above 900 million euros. At the same time, imports are estimated to drop by 19,1%, corresponding to just over 860 million euros, creating in any case n positive trade balance.
