ICE for the Made in Italy processing of Chinese ceramics

The XXVII edition of "Ceramics China" kicked off today in Canton, a biennial event promoted by the "China Ceramic Industrial Association" and organized by "Unifair Exhibition Service Co. Ltd". The ICE-Agency for the promotion abroad and the internationalization of Italian companies, in collaboration with the trade association ACIMAC (Builders Association Italian Machines Equipment for Ceramics) has organized for the occasion a collective of 15 Italian companies in the sector. The 2013 edition will occupy an exhibition area of over 80.000 square meters distributed among over 800 exhibitors arriving from 20 countries. 70.000 exhibitors from 650 countries took part in the last edition of the event, held at the Pazhou Complex exhibition site on a total area of 26 m50.000. Over XNUMX visitors were registered during the four days of the exhibition.

The city of Guangzhou is located in the region of Guangdong, where about two thirds of the Chinese companies involved in the manufacturing process of ceramic products are based. The industry is dominated by a small number of relatively large firms, with 10 companies that control over 70% of national production, of which 6 are located in the city of Foshan. Currently, the share that China occupies in the export of Italian ceramic processing machinery stands at around 12%, but the potential offered by the Chinese market to Italian companies in the sector is enormous: existing plants in China are notIn fact, able to cope with the growing internal demand and have production standards that are still far from the international quality average.
