It was inaugurated today, at the Addis Ababa Exhibition Center, theAddis Chamber International Trade Fair (ACITF) 2013, a among the most important multi-sector international events organized in Ethiopia and in the Horn of Africa. The ACITF fair in Addis Ababa, attracting national and international operators to the Ethiopian capital, in fact proposes itself as a meeting platform between the various companies to explore the possibilities of joint ventures, collaborations and investments in Ethiopia. The influx of participants in the previous editions of the international exhibition was particularly consistent, counting over 300 exhibitors who came to the fair from 30 countries, and more than 20 visitors.
ICE - Agency for the promotion abroad and internationalization of Italian companies, in collaboration with the Italian Embassy present in the Ethiopian capital, organized a mission that counts 50 Italian companies and, as the Italian institutional presence at the ACITF 2013 in Addis Ababa, set up a “Space Italy”. Within this space, which serves as a reference and meeting point for the Italian companies that took part in the mission, there are also, alongside the ICE, the Italian Embassy and the Italian Business Community Association ( IBC).
The 2013 edition of the exhibition, with the theme "Private Public Consultation for Development”, he will reserve greater space for the following sectors: Agro-industry and Agri-food, Renewable Energies and Environment, Infrastructures, Equipment and Materials for Construction, Metalworking Machinery, Quarrying Machinery and Marble and Granite Processing Machinery, Electrical and Electronic Equipment, Hydraulic Tools, Services and Logistic Support in remote areas, Plant Engineering for Oil & Gas Wells, Medical and Pharmaceutical Equipment, Technological Systems for Security and Telecommunications, Contract for Interiors Design, Services for the Hotel and Catering Industry.
Collateral to ACITF 2013, which will remain open to the public until 27 February, a series of events aimed at supporting business opportunities and promoting the image of the Italian presence at the fair.
Among these events, one stands out for prominence Seminar, which will be held at the Hilton Hotel on February 22, which will illustrate the main business opportunities offered to Italian companies by international bodies and organizations active in Ethiopia (including European Union, World Bank, African Development Bank); the Seminar will then be followed by a session of bilateral meetings between Italian companies and Ethiopian counterparts (business community and main local institutions) which will allow companies to examine further business opportunities and possibilities for commercial and economic collaborations, but also to gather information regarding the many development projects in Ethiopia.
On the occasion of the end of the fair, on February 26th, again at the Hilton Hotel, a Closing symposium, which will be attended by the main institutions, bodies and organizations that took part in the creation of ACITF 2013, during which the best exhibition stands will be awarded; this event will also represent aopportunity for debate on the fair which is now over, through an analysis of the results achieved and a discussion about possible future developments.
