The ICE Agency, in concert with the AESVI (Association of Italian Video Game Developers Publishers), participates this year for the first time in the "Game Connection America”, organizing the presence at the fair of 10 companies from video game industry. This fair, which is one of the main international events for the gaming industry, will take place from 25 to 27 March 2013 at the Sir Francis Drake Hotel in San Francisco.
Video games are one of the sectors of the cultural and entertainment industry that has experienced the greatest development in recent years with a value that today stands at a global level among 57 and 65 billion euros, and with a average annual growth rate of 11,4% between 2006 and 2011. The Italian market represents the fifth market in Europe from the point of view of consumption with over 1 billion in turnover in 2011, but it is still a niche market in the international competitive scenario as far as production is concerned.
THEgoal of participation of the Italian delegation to the "Game Connection America" is to bring together Italian developers with the key players of the international videogame industry in order to expand smart communities, share know-how and launch projects and collaborations. Furthermore, the presence of Italian game developers at the event aims to create international joint ventures that increase the size of Italian companies and increase their competitiveness.
