Iccrea: here is the Board of Directors, Azzi and Liberati leave

Iccrea's new board of directors takes shape. The cooperative credit banks that adhere to what will become the fourth largest Italian banking group (third in number of branches) have chosen the names of the board members.

This was revealed by Radiocor, according to which the decision also brings with it important innovations. In the list of 10 candidates of cooperative banks in the hands of the new president, Giuseppe Maino, there are neither Alessandro Azzi, for twenty-five years number one in the Bcc association system (as president of Federcasse where he was elected in 1991), nor Francesco Liberati, president of Bcc of Rome , the largest Italian cooperative credit bank. Iccrea's new board of directors will be made up of fifteen members, including five independents.

The list of names has been prepared in view of the assembly to be held on April 30 with the aim of electing the first board of directors after the transformation imposed by the reform of the Renzi government.

We recall that on 7 March, the European Central Bank gave the go-ahead for the establishment of the Iccrea cooperative banking group. The parent company will be able to count on the membership of 142 CCBs, located in 1700 municipalities in a network of over 2600 branches, more than 4 million customers, 750 shareholders, with assets of 153 billion euros and own funds of 11 billion euros.

Iccrea, recalls Radiocor, in the meantime is taking its first steps as group leader, under the guidance of general manager Leonardo Rubattu. The bank immediately had to deal with the first long visit by the Joint Supervisory Team of the ECB to Lucrezia's headquarters in Rome. The new president, Giuseppe Maino, then flew to Frankfurt to make himself known.
