IBE Intermobility and Bus Expo, the biennial appointment of IEG Italian Exhibition Group for the world of sustainable collective transport, is preparing for the eagerly awaited "IBE Driving Experience”. This event, which will take place on 24 and 25 October at the Misano World Circuit "Marco Simoncelli" in Misano Adriatico, will bring together bus and travel industry community, anticipating all the appointments related to the event.

What is IBE Driving Experience
IBE Driving Experience is one two days of meetings and test drives aimed at private bus operators and long-distance local public transport operators. During the event, moments of business, opportunities for updating and training alternate. The goal is to test the latest news from the bus industry, involving manufacturers, software and technology suppliers, bus managers, local public transport operators, long-distance transport operators and sector associations, all in a dynamic and engaging atmosphere, typical of motoring events.
The players of electric mobility are present
Also this year at the IBE Driving Experience they will be the main industrial players in mobility were present, between manufacturers and producers in the supply chain.
Among the prominent brands confirmed for the event are Iveco bus, which will present its range of electric vehicles, irize, Male which will feature the updated version of the Lion's Coach for tourism and the electric Lion's City, e Scania, which will be present with a vehicle from the Touring range. In addition, vehicles previewed for the Italian market will take to the track at Misano, such as the new Volvo 9700 Double Decker presented by Volvo Buses and the Navigo T MY2023 presented by Otokar, accompanied by Ulyso T.
Beware of tourism
The event will also pay attention tothe theme of tourism. The opening event of IBE Driving Experience will focus on the theme "Local and suburban public transport: public and private for intermobility in cities and tourism in villages". This moment will be an opportunity to take stock of the challenges of intermobility in collective tourist transport in cities and villages, involving all the realities of the sector.
Youth initiatives and projects
IBE Intermobility and Bus Expo, together with Scuderia Start, they promote a project dedicated to children of high schools in Romagna with mechanical, electronic and mechatronic specialization. The initiative, presented during the IBE Driving Experience and scheduled from October 2023 to June 2024, aims to make to inform young people about job opportunities in the sector of collective road transport and to make them passionate about this profession. The Open Day will offer the opportunity to test the buses on the track and to get in touch with professional drivers, mechanics and important players in the sector, creating a young, relaxed and stimulating environment.
The 1st edition of the training course dedicated to electric buses has started
Electric bus driver training is the first theoretical and practical course dedicated exclusively to drivers of electric buses. Organized by IBE Intermobiltity and Bus Expo, Train (professional training institution), Efficient Driving and Casa Editrice La Fiaccola, the training program aims to bridge the gap between internal combustion engine vehicles (ICEs) and electric vehicles in terms of safety, control and driving ability. The course yes focus on electric buses, also introducing advanced defensive driving techniques, and consists of 4 hours of theoretical training and 4 hours of practical driving tests for electric buses. The first edition will take place on 25 October and will be supported by Iveco Bus, which will provide two fully electric E-Way buses for the participants. These vehicles have been designed to meet the highest standards of cities promoting electric mobility as a sustainable solution for the decarbonisation of transport.
