The Russians mock Juve: Witsel jumps but Cuadrado arrives

Incredibly, Zenit delays the transfer of the Belgian midfielder and the deal fails, but Juve will retaliate in a few months: they will buy Witsel on a free transfer - Meanwhile, Cuadrado returns to Turin - Jovetic and Brozovic remain at Inter - Mati Fernandez at Milan - Balotelli in Nice – Maksimovic in Naples at the photo finish

The Russians mock Juve: Witsel jumps but Cuadrado arrives

witsel and of Juveindeed not! Incredible but true: a deal that had practically already been closed for two days ended up jumping right to the photo finish. Fault of Zenit, protagonist of yet another about-face against the Belgian midfielder, a real prisoner (of gold of course) in that of St. Petersburg. The facts are as follows: Juventus, after having received Lucescu's go-ahead on Tuesday afternoon, had Witsel come to Turin for medical examinations (regularly passed) and the drafting of the contract.

For the signing of the same, however, the transfer of Zenit was needed, a real formality which instead, as the hours went by, proved to be an insurmountable obstacle. The Russians first tried to retract on the price, then they stubbornly looked for a substitute (think about it first right?) without which, Lucescu dixit, the Belgian could not have been sold.

In the meantime, Juve was negotiating the sale of Hernanes and he waited ever more impatiently for the go-ahead from St. Petersburg, a go-ahead which however only arrived at 22.46 pm, exactly 14 minutes before the transfer market closed.

A too short time to carry out all the bureaucracy necessary for an international transfer, and so the black and whites found themselves without the much desired midfielder, in turn incredulous in that of Turin.

Marriage is only postponed for a few months: Witsel will move to black and white in 10 months (maybe even sooner), moreover on a free transfer, however the joke remains and Hernanes' forced stay only exacerbates it further.

Marotta can however console himself with Cuadrado, the other objective of this last day of the black and white transfer market. No twist here: the Colombian returns to Turin with the three-year loan formula and a redemption already set at 29 million (including bonuses).

A lot of Juve but not only: yesterday was also the day of Milan, author of a purchase that (finally) pleases Montella. It's about Mati Fernandez, midfielder who arrived from Fiorentina on loan with the right to buy.

Deal closed in the evening, after Galliani, also thanks to the intercession of his coach, managed to win the competition from Cagliari. No surprises instead with regard to the other big names.

Il Napoli has formalized the purchase of Maximovich and the consequent transfer to Torino di Valdifiori,Inter it closed the last day of the market with no transactions, neither incoming nor outgoing. Impossible to get to Lichtsteiner (Juve said no), the hypothesis remains Caceres, released and therefore cardable beyond yesterday's deadline.

What surprises, if anything, is the double permanence of Jovetic e Brozovic: the first, requested by the Fiorentina and, surprisingly, also by Milan, he was taken off the market due to his salary (no one offered to pay him in full), the latter could even renew his contract.

The purples, after giving in Marcos Alonso to Chelsea (Conte also had David Luiz for 37 million), bought the Uruguayan Maxi Oliveira from Atletico Penarol, the Lazio he took the full-back from Liverpool Luis Alberto (5 million). For the rest, the passage of Diego Lopez from Milan toEspanyol, failure to pass the medical examinations of Cerce with Bologna (but the rossoblu bought Sadiq e Torosidis from Rome), the no Wilshere to Spalletti's Giallorossi (who in the meantime have sold Vainqueur to Marseille).

Closure dedicated to Balotelli: The striker made a permanent move from Liverpool to Nice. SuperMario (assuming he can still be called that) will attempt yet another relaunch of his career under the sun of the Côte d'Azur.
