Asian markets arrest the fall

The umpteenth record of the US stock market comforted the Asian markets which closed with an albeit modest progress of 0,1% (MSCI Asia Pacific Index). This does not prevent the regional index from registering a cautious 1,2% for the week.

The Nikkei climbs 0,5%. In America, the economic data is good – weekly unemployment benefits are down and the moving average is the best since the beginning of the 2000s, both for new benefits and for the existing stock.

Above all, the confirmation of the stability of the US economy (a further positive element will come this evening from the data on the labor market) has given wings to the dollar, which exceeds 115 against the yen and brings the euro down to 1,238.

Gold continues to suffer and falls again to 1133 $/ounce. Still low oil at 77,5 (WTI). Equity futures rose again, by 0,2-0,3%, in both London and New York.
