The managers reject the manoeuvre: unfair and non-structural

The main organizations of public and private managers give life to a "managerial constituent". Harsh criticism of the government maneuver. In the coming days, the managers will present their counter-proposals to politics: priorities for the fight against tax evasion, taxation of great wealth, reduction of the costs of politics and tax reform.

Public and private managers reject the Government's manoeuvre. Cida-Federmanger on one side and Confeder-Manageritalia on the other have no doubts: "it is inadequate and unfair - they say - it does not contain measures for the country, it affects the usual ones who pay". And therefore they are urging the government to carry out structural reforms, while rejecting the solidarity contribution without hesitation.

Just in the past few days, the two organizations have created a “managerial constituent meeting”, with the aim – explains the president of CIDA, Giorgio Corradini – “of giving substance and visibility to our needs and proposals. There is a non-current need for managers, who are employees, to make their voices heard, which if divided, disperse. Hence the birth of the "managerial constituent assembly" with the aim of expanding to other realities, let's think for example of the Assomed doctors' association, and becoming a single entity, arriving at representative units".

And the aim is to be a point of reference for around 500 executives, middle managers and high professionals. The analysis that the newborn "managerial constituent assembly" makes of the government maneuver certainly does not reward the executive. Corradini explains: "It doesn't solve the country's problems, there are no measures for growth, and if it doesn't increase the GDP, you want to cut..." Again: "It's unfair because it affects the usual suspects, those who have paid and always pay employees and retirees. And it is inadequate because it does not contain solutions to make the country grow, to relaunch. There are no structural reforms, and the cost of politics is always there”.

And the finger is also pointed at the solidarity contribution. “Perhaps the level of income on which to impose it will be raised, we will see what emerges from the latest discussions within the majority and the government, but the problem – remarked Corradini – is not the height of the bar: the question is that in any case they always charge the same". Therefore the solidarity contribution must be eliminated because it affects only high professionals whose only fault is to declare their earnings in full.

And in any case, on average, explains Corradini, the gross salary of an executive fluctuates between 80 and 100 euros, only a minority of "top" managers can boast salaries of over 150, and therefore "even if the contribution were applied to salaries taller would affect a very small audience. Does the government – ​​he asks – think of solving problems like this?”.

What then in place of this contribution? “In addition to fighting tax evasion, we need to ask for a contribution from large estates which are often also the result of evasion and evasion. And so at least once I pay". And then – concludes Corradini – “we need to take responsibility for structural reforms, starting with the fight against tax evasion and tax reform. In the coming days, the "Managerial Constituent Assembly" will present its counter-proposals to the Chamber and Senate, which can be summarized as follows: fight against tax evasion, taxation of great wealth, reduction of the costs of politics, tax reform.
