Calia Italia, a Matera-based company leader in the production of upholstered furniture, announces that it has signed a commercial partnership for the distribution of products with the Chinese company Dongguan Huicui Furniture Co Ltd., controlled by De Rucci Beddings Co. Ltd, for the distribution exclusively for Calia Italia branded products in the People's Republic of China (PRC).
The project includes the opening of 40 Calia Italia flagship stores by 2021 for the sale of sofas produced in our country, intended for a medium-high profile consumer, a lover of excellence and made in Italy.
These will be joined by another 400 points of sale with a licensing agreement for the Calia Home and Calia Sofart brands, for a wider public who will be able to appreciate products created by designers from the Calia Italia Study Center and made directly in China by De Rucci.
This operation with the De Rucci Group, already present in the PRC since 2004, will allow Calia to enter with great strength an interesting market such as the Chinese one, increasing its international presence which today already sees the oldest company in the Upholstered Furniture district of Basilicata operate in over 80 countries worldwide.
