The Costs of Not Doing presents the workshop "How to select infrastructure priorities" in Milan

The Costs of Non-Doing Observatory, sponsored by the Lombardy Region, will present the Workshop entitled “How to select infrastructural priorities. The case of Central-Northern Italy" in the setting of Palazzo Turati-Chamber of Commerce, Via Meravigli 1/b from 9 to 9.

Broadband, roads, highways, railways, subways, water, electricity and gas networks and systems are examples of relevant infrastructures for the country. What are the priorities in the interests of the territories and the country? How to implement and finance the priorities? What are the impacts of the reform of the Procurement Code which revolutionizes the system after the serious cases of corruption? These and other topics will be discussed by the heads of the regional institutions, Piedmont, Lombardy, Liguria, Emilia Romagna, and the metropolitan city of Milan. The companies that carry out the works, Ferrovie, Anas, Enel, Acea, Vodafone, Terna, Hera, and the investors who finance them, the EIB and Arpinge, will also intervene.

The CNF 2015 study will also be presented, focused on technological innovation for infrastructures and on the causes of increased construction times and costs.

At the end of the Workshop, the 2015 Infrastructure Development Award will be given to the Milanese Metropolitan Area for the significant infrastructural projects carried out over the last 15 years thanks also to institutional collaborations. Raffaele Cattaneo, President of the Regional Council, and Pierfrancesco Maran, Councilor for Mobility, Environment, Underground, Public Water, Energy of the Municipality of Milan will withdraw the award.
