CALCIO MARKET ACCOUNTS – Serie A has spent 600 million: Juve and Milan at the top of investments

Only the Premier League has spent more on the market than Serie A (600 million) which invested more than Germany, France and Spain – Juve and Milan have the biggest deficits between income and expenses – Roma was the most virtuous – Even Inter he has invested a lot but with the sale of Kovacic he has recovered a lot

CALCIO MARKET ACCOUNTS – Serie A has spent 600 million: Juve and Milan at the top of investments

Stopping time and therefore balances, in the true sense of the word. We have already analyzed the technical aspects of the market with the usual scoreboard on 1 September, now the time has come to dwell on the economic ones. The one that just ended was a really impressive session, characterized by many expenses, even more than any reasonable (and optimistic) expectation. Just think that Serie A has "pulled out" over 600 million euros (608 to be exact), more than the Spanish Liga (571), the German Bundesliga (439) and the French Ligue 1 (215). All right, the English Premier League remains at another level (1 billion and 106 million spent, almost twice as much as we do!) but there you enter the minefield of TV rights and therefore off topic.

Better to look inside our house where, after years of lean cows (in 2014 "only" 335 million were spent), the wheel seems to have restarted and great too. To dominate it, as it was reasonable to expect, was there Juventus champion of Italy and vice-champion of Europe in charge. Precisely this last aspect has allowed the Lady to earn more (we are talking about a turnover of more than 300 million) and therefore to invest accordingly. His is the most expensive shot on the Italian market (Dybala from Palermo for 40 million) and the highest balance (negative of course) is still his (-66 million). All this to buy 13 players (123,5 million spent) and sell as many as 17 (57,5 collected), many of whom are on loan or on free transfers.
Right after that is the Milan of the award-winning couple Berlusconi-Bee, even if the money, at least for now, is all from the former Cavaliere. That has put it on the market well 86 million in an attempt to bring the (poor) Devil back to the top, waiting for the oriental market to take its course. Also here the balance is strongly negative: -61 million. In fact, the transfers brought only 25, a laughable figure and rather indicative of the quality of the Rossoneri squad.

This is where the spending spree ends and the so-called “smart markets” begin. Either for the painstaking work of some sports directors, or for the imaginative formulas (various loans and installment payments) of operations, you can make a competitive team even without exaggerating with red. It is the case ofInter that despite the Mancinian revolution he finished the campaign at -26, a sustainable figure also for the cash registers of Corso Vittorio Emanuele. The merit, in addition to the numerous loans with an obligation to buy back (which defer payments to the next summers), must be sought in the work of Ausilio, good at buying but even more at selling. In the face of 105 million spent there are in fact 79 collected, among which the 35 of Real Madrid for Kovacic stand out.

Roma did even better, managed to win the championship in August and also that of the budget. Waiting to understand if he will be able to conquer the most important one of all, all that remains is to congratulate Sabatini, capable of reinforcing the team by spending 79 million and collecting 72, for an overall deficit of only 7. Better than Naples (-19) and Lazio (-11), moreover with decidedly better purchases. The rest of Serie A moved in line with forecasts, apart from Joe Tacopina's Bologna, capable of closing the market with a loss of 35 million (!), an absolute record for a newly promoted team, which is still stuck at 0 points. Among the many minuses there are more to be underlined: Genoa (+ 15), Udinese (+26,5) and above all Palermo (+31), the only one of the three with full points. A round of applause also in Turin (-9 but with great reinforcements), Fiorentina (-1), Sassuolo (+1), Atalanta (+7), Verona (-2) and Sampdoria (+1), the latter penalized by the mockery of Soriano, who would have replenished the coffers with another 13,5 million, however, depriving Zenga of a very important player. For a door that closes (at 23 pm, not at midnight dear De Laurentiis and Ferrero) there is a door that opens…
