HSBC: profit +52,3%. Falling profits for Commerzbank

The British giant closed the third quarter with a 4% decline in revenues and a drop in operating profit, which fell to 16,36 billion – Profits and revenues down for Commerzbank.

Quarterly day for two of the major European institutes: Hsbc e Commerzbank. The British giant archived its third quarter with a profit net growth of 52,3% on an annual basis at 5,23 billion dollars, although operating profit dropped from 19,03 to 16,36 billion, due to the slowdown in income from interest and fees. The group's revenues also decreased, -4% to 15,1 billion dollars.

For Commerzbank, on the other hand, the third quarter ended with a decline of the net profit, which went from 225 to 207 million euros. There was also a slight decrease in revenues which, net of provisions for loan losses, went from 2,41 to 2,31 billion euros. Furthermore, the German institute has announced that CEO Martin Blessig will leave his position in October 2016.
