Hostaria Verona: a festival where wine becomes a show

From XNUMX to XNUMX October, Verona will be transformed into a global stage that will extend across the streets and squares of the historic center of the Verona city where wine will be the absolute protagonist, amidst conviviality, history and tradition.

It is the seventh edition of Hostaria Verona, an event that will offer visitors over 350 wine references under the banner of “Verona. Where wine becomes a show”: the city.

Special guest starred chef Cristina Bowerman, who will meet the public on the afternoon of Saturday 9 October at the Loggia Vecchia in Piazza dei Signori.

The Festival establishes itself as one of the most important meeting places for wine lovers and wine operators, involving exhibitors and restaurateurs from the center and fueling cultural tourism with arrivals from Italy and abroad thanks to a rich offer of walk around tastings, initiatives and the possibility to experience the city.

With over 1 million people reached on social channels, the Festival will showcase its digital soul by hosting wine influencers who will involve visitors and followers in exclusive tastings.

In the extensive calendar of activities, we note the second edition of the “Paiasso” National Award dedicated to Roberto Puliero, actor, director and “historical voice” from Verona, and the educational workshops organized by the Monte Veronese Protection Consortium.

“Our project is today among the most important of its kind on a national level – affirms with satisfaction the president of the Hostaria Cultural Association Alessandro Medici -, with a positive impact on related industries in the area. The festival is supported partly through tasting tokens, which have become a recognized form of 'responsible drinking', partly through contributions from partners. We do not enjoy any public funding, but despite this, the growth of the event is constant every year. This testifies to the excellent work done on the net between our association and all those who are an active part of the project”.

For three days it will therefore be possible to get close to the best of local and national wine production and the world of gastronomic specialties: 125 wineries, 58 merchants and 15 restaurateurs of the historic center of Verona were involved

and increasingly sought-after “sbecolerie” offering traditional Veronese dishes.
