Hewlett-Packard seeks a relaunch with the purchase of Aruba

Hewlett-Packard collapses on the stock market and aims to buy Aruba. The US computer giant, in fact, has sold almost 10% to Wall Street, after the presentation of the accounts on the first quarter of the current exercise, in which revenues and profits underwent a decrease, respectively, of 5% to 26,8 billion dollars, and of 4,2% to 1,37 billion.

On an adjusted basis EPS (earning per share) stood at 0,92 dollars, 1 cent more than expected while the turnover was lower than consensus (27,38 billion). For the full year, the group's new estimate is for adjusted earnings per share of between $3,53 and $3,73, about 30 cents less than the previous forecast.

Also for this reason, Hewlett-Packard is in talks to buy the manufacturer network equipment Aruba Network, which has a market cap of around $2 billion.

According to some sources close to the operations, the announcement of an agreement between the parties could arrive as early as next week, even if the parties did not want to comment on the news.
