2012 starts well for Hermès. In the first quarter, the French luxury house recorded a turnover of 776,9 million euros (against the 743,2 million forecast by analysts), up 21,9% compared to the same period in 2011. Growth affected all business sectors and in all geographical regions. However, the real boom was recorded in Europe, where progress was as much as 27%. Sales in Asia were also very good, where a +22% was achieved, thanks above all to the activity in China. In America, sales increased by 13%.

The growth occurred both in the stores owned by the Group (+17%) and in the wholesale channels (+19,7%). Last February, the company had indicated a growth target for this year of at least 10%.
