Hermès continues to fly: sales grow by 15,4%

Hermès sales continue to fly, growing in the first half of the year by 15,4% at constant exchange rates (+21,6% at current exchange rates), to 1.591,4 million euros. The success is linked above all to the great results on the Asian market, which now represents almost 50% of the turnover of the well-known Parisian brand. In particular, the Asia-Pacific area recorded a 25% increase in sales, especially in China, with a 3% increase in Japan as well.

In the Old Continent, revenues increased by 21% and by 10% only in France, but it is above all non-EU tourists who inflate the accounts. An increase of 9% also in the United States.

Operating profit, to be announced on Aug. 31, will be in line with increased revenues, the statement said. The future outlook is less simple to define, as the economic context and currency fluctuations make precise predictions impossible. Despite this, the historic Parisian brand confirms the target of consolidated revenues growing by 10%, therefore a slowdown is expected for the second half of the year.
