He was “Top Employers” for the seventh year in a row

The Hera Group has been recognized as "Top Employers" for the seventh consecutive year: this was decreed by the Dutch certifying body Top Employers Institute which, since 1991, has been conducting research that evaluates the quality standards in terms of working conditions offered to the employees of the main companies in the world.

Top Employers is one of the most regarded international awards and rewards ones companies that have demonstrated that they can offer excellent working conditions to their employees. The certification process, which has become increasingly rigorous and selective over the years, involves for all companies in-depth verification of wages, working conditions, training and development, career opportunities and corporate culture. In this way, only companies that achieve the highest scores required by the certification can be admitted to the list of Top Employers.

There were 66 companies certified this year in Italy: among these, the only multi-utility is the Hera Group, which has been participating in the project since 2010 and has achieved this recognition for the seventh consecutive year. In particular, Hera ranks among the top companies in Italy that invest most in the updating and personal and professional development of their employees, offering 31,4 hours of training per capita. Over the years, the Group has tried to make training experiences ever more incisive and engaging and thanks to HerAcademy, the Group's Corporate University, it has made it possible to constantly interact with other companies and the main institutions of the academic world (universities and business schools).

Among the most innovative aspects are the initiatives related to welfare, aimed at promoting the well-being of employees and the work-life balance (such as policies for managing leave or absences from work and related support when returning to the company, crèches for employees' children in the various territories, support for mobility), coaching and counseling initiatives, dissemination of activities to develop leadership, employee management, emotional intelligence and policies that provide for the possibility of development interventions for the entire company population. This latter aspect places the Hera Group at the top of the ranking in Italy.

"We are proud to have obtained the Top Employers qualification for the seventh time - declared the Chairman of Hera Tomaso Tommasi of Vignano – This certification is proof that for some years Hera has been on a permanent basis among the Italian companies that excel in the working conditions offered to employees and this thanks not only to the wide range of training activities offered but also to the structured benefit policies offers to our employees. The investments made over the years in training have been increasingly specific and innovative, to provide ideas and tools to the entire corporate population and at the same time further improve the services we offer to customers and the area in which we operate, in line with our values and the corporate mission."
