Hera expands into Abruzzo with the Alento Gas tender

A subsidiary of the Emilian utility has provisionally won the tender for the acquisition of 100% of Alento Gas, a sales company owned by the Municipality of Francavilla (51%) and by the French Gdf Suez Energie (49%)

The Hera stock market session is off to a good start, gaining one percentage point at the start, at 2,168 euros. Yesterday evening the company announced that it had consolidated "the presence in Abruzzo thanks to the tender for the acquisition of 100% of Alento Gas, a sales company owned by the Municipality of Francavilla (51%) and by the French Gdf Suez Energie (49 %)". 

Alento Gas, "which in 2013 achieved an EBITDA of almost 1 million euros - continues the note -, currently has a customer portfolio of around 13 contracts, capable of generating around 10 million cubic meters of gas sold per year, distributed on the municipal area. These customers add to the over 2,1 million gas and electricity customers of the Hera Group". 

The opening public session of the binding offers presented on 23 January 2015 was held yesterday in the Municipality of Francavilla al Mare, in the province of Chieti. Hera Comm Marche (Hera Group) was provisionally awarded the tender, in which the other operators (Prometeo, Made in Energy and Uno gas). 

The allotment price, equal to 5,526 million euros, was formulated on the basis of the economic situation, as well as the financial situation and shareholders' equity reserves of Alento Gas. The municipal administration will now proceed with the verification of the requirements necessary for the stipulation of the contract and, in the event of a positive outcome, will proceed with the final award within the next 70 days. Subsequently, the contract for the transfer of shares will be stipulated, which will complete the transfer of ownership.
