Hera: revenues more than doubled in the first quarter, Iacono takes Venier's place as new CEO

Hera archives the first quarter of 2022 with revenue more than doubled on an annual basis, to 5,312 billion (+133,8%), Mol to 374 million (+3,3%) e Net income to 137,8 million, a decrease of 1,8% compared to the same quarter last year. At the end of March, net financial debt amounted to 3,455 billion, with a net debt/GOP ratio of 2,8.

The sectors of thethe energy, which show significant growth due to the greater intermediation activities and the increase in the price of commodities, in addition to the higher volumes sold of gas deriving from new lots won in tenders and from the climatic effect.

Among the main operational highlights is the customer base of approximately 3,5 million units.

Iacono new CEO of Hera

Furthermore, Hera's board of directors – following the resignation of the managing director Stefano Venier, now at the helm of Snam – nominated by co-optation Orazio Iacono as new CEO of the group, attributing to it the relative powers.

Iacono, a 54-year-old engineer, has held positions of increasing responsibility within the group Trenitalia, up to covering the role of CEO and general manager in the period 2017-2020.

Subsequently, he worked as a senior advisor at a leading international consultancy firm and in 2021 he became Chief Operating Officer Sustainable Infrastructures of Saipem.

He will form the new top tandem with the executive chairman Tomaso Tommasi di Vignano, the true creator of the jewel that Hera has become.
