Hera: ok to the integration projects between Cmv Servizi and Cmv Energia

AThe industrial projects for the integration of the energy activities of CMV Servizi and CMV Energia e Impianti have been approved

The Boards of Directors of the two companies have started the process that will lead to the development of an industrial project in the Upper Ferrara area.

The two companies are owned by the Municipalities of Cento, Vigarano Mainarda, Bondeno, Poggio Renatico, Terre del Reno and Goro, which following the operation will see an increase in their shareholding in the Hera Group.

"The execution of the agreement is subject to the conditions of practice in similar transactions and to the approval by the various shareholders in the respective shareholders' meetings, expected by the end of the year", said Era..

From a practical point of view, theThe operation will involve approximately 25.000 customers (21.300 gas and 3.500 electricity) and approximately 30.000 redelivery points (26.500 in the Ferrara area and over 3.100 in the Bologna area) for the distribution of natural gas.

The operation provides for the maintenance of the current personnel employed in the two business lines of CMV Servizi and CMV Energia e Impianti and the territorial offices will be maintained, which will see a convergence with respect to the other activities of the Hera Group in the same area. The Group's solutions and policies will be extended to the CMV activities.

At the same time, it should be emphasized that Hera today inaugurated in Sant'Agata Bolognese (BO) the first plant built in Italy by a multi-utility for the industrial-scale production of biomethane from organic waste. The plant, which cost 37 million, can treat 135 tons of organic waste (100 from separate collection and 35 from mowing and pruning), from which it is able to obtain 7,5 million cubic meters of biomethane, a fuel entirely renewable and mainly intended for public and private transport, and 20 tons of compost, perfect for the production of biofertilizers and for agricultural uses.

“The plant – commented Tomaso Tommasi di Vignano, Executive Chairman of the Hera Group – enhances the citizens' commitment to separate waste collection, integrates the industrial infrastructure of the area served by the Group and fully implements the principles of the circular economy, achieving important results in terms of decarbonization and responding to the guidelines taken on the matter at the regional level and to the objectives of the National Energy Strategy.”
