Double-digit increases for all the main economic-financial indicators "thanks to the contribution of the main businesses", underlines Hera in the note containing the results for the first half of 2021. 

In detail, i revenues rose 22,8% to 4,179 billion, the gross operating margin reached 617,9 million (+10,4%) while the net profit to shareholders, it jumped 30% to $216,1 million.

The company underlines the "significant improvement in net financial debt to 2,95 billion, with a ratio of EBITDA down to 2,5 times, against net operating investments rose from 195,1 million in the first half of 2020 to 237,4 million as at 30 June 2021 (+21,7%). 

Among the main highlights, Hera highlights the contribution to the result by the energy and environment areas and the contribution of both organic growth and external development, as well as a “solid customer base in the energy sectors at almost 3,4 million customers”.

"The half-year results reflect the good performance of the group and allow us to look to the future with confidence, in line with the historic growth path of the multi-utility and the attention to the creation of value for our shareholders and the territories in which we operate", he commented Tomaso Tommasi of Vignano, executive chairman of Hera. "In particular, in line with the strategic guidelines of the Business Plan to 2024, we are carrying out a series of development operations for external lines, which will allow us to consolidate the Italian leadership in waste treatment and further expand our plant platform, with all cutting-edge and solutions for companies in a circular economy key”.

At Piazza Affari the stock rises by 1,67% at 3,588 euros, achieving one of the best performances among the blue chips of the Ftse Mib (+0,7%)
