Hera Luce strengthens in Lombardy: contract with Adro

Hera Luce, a subsidiary of the Hera group has signed a twenty-year contract for the management of public lighting with the municipality of Adro, in Franciacorta. With this agreement, the Bologna-based multiutility strengthens its presence in Lombardy. To date, in fact, Hera Luce manages 540 light points in 180 Italian municipalities, 30 of which are located in Lombardy.

Returning to the contract, the agreement provides that, in collaboration with the Municipality, the company will build a restyling and efficiency project of the service, increasing its safety and significantly reducing energy consumption.

“As regards public lighting – explains Hera in a note – the expected redevelopment of facilities in the territory of the municipality will lead to the optimization and overall efficiency of over 1.500 lighting points", while the works to bring the systems up to standard and make them safe include the replacement of 20 km of electricity line and the bringing of 22 switchboards up to standard . The works should take about a year.

“The Palazzo Comunale will be the subject of a particular lighting intervention to highlight its architecture. Five new light points will also be positioned in the street in front of the building, via Tulio Dandolo, and 16 new video cameras and 6 access gates with remote reading of license plates will be installed”, continues Hera.

Thanks to this project, it will be achieved an average annual energy saving of 65% compared to the current state, equal to over 96 TOE (Tons of Oil Equivalent), with a reduction in carbon dioxide emissions of approximately 204 tons/year.
