Hera, Iren and Smat: agreement to innovate the water cycle

The objective of the agreement signed today in Turin between the three utilities is to promote applied research, technological development and innovation in the sectors and activities related to the integrated water service, also opening collaborations with other subjects such as universities, research and businesses.

Ivy, Iren e Smat have signed a memorandum of understanding to promote applied research, technological development and innovation in the sectors and activities related to the integrated water service. The agreement was signed in Turin in the presence of Salvatore Molé, director of Hera Technologies and Development, Francesco Profumo, number one of Iren, and Paolo Romano, managing director of Smat.

The three utilities - reads a note - will combine "their experiences, knowledge and studies in the sector, defining joint developments, for the benefit of all three companies, of innovative projects, to continue to guarantee citizens a service attentive to sustainability and the conservation of water resources". 

This is the "first experience in Italy of collaboration between leading companies in the sector on applied research and innovation", concludes the note. The goal is also to open collaborations with other entities such as universities, research institutions and companies.

At the beginning of the afternoon, the Hera share on the Stock Exchange dropped 1,23%, to 2,082 euro, while the Iren shares lost 0,54%, to 1,288 euros. In the same minutes Piazza Affari travels in negative territory by 1,35 percentage points.
