(Teleborsa) – The collaboration between Open Fiber and the Hera Group for the development of the fiber optic infrastructure that allows connection speeds of up to 1 Gbps (1000 Megabits per second) kicks off from Imola.

As part of the agreement with the Municipality of Imola, the company jointly owned by Enel and Cassa Depositi e Prestiti will in fact be able to count on the capillarity and efficiency of the more than 150 kilometers of network infrastructure managed throughout the territory by the multi-utility for the installation of ultra-broadband , which will allow the people of Imola to reach a connection speed of up to 1 Gbps (1000 Megabits per second).

The development plan of Oper Fiber in Imola provides for an investment of approximately 9 million euros to cover the city within 18 months of the start of the works, which will take place in the next few days. In total, approximately 30.000 building units will be wired through approximately 10.000 kilometers of fibre.
