Hera and Ascopiave: the merger of Asco TLC into Acantho will be operational from 1 October

The merger deed between Asco TLC and Acantho has been signed, following the acquisition of 92% of Asco TLC by the Hera Group subsidiary and Ascopiave last March. This operation will strengthen Acantho's position in the IT-TLC sector, transforming it into a multi-regional operator

Hera and Ascopiave: the merger of Asco TLC into Acantho will be operational from 1 October

The President of Asco TLC, Alessandro Aiello, and the President of Acantho, Roberto Vancini, they signed a merger agreement between the two companies.

Starting from October 1, 2023, Acantho will take over the management of Asco TLC's telephony services and data centers. Acantho will have access to a 326.600 km fiber optic network and 4 data centers located in Imola, Siziano, Santa Lucia di Piave and San Vendemiano, with a total of approximately 9.000 customers.

The new company

The merger is the result ofacquisition of 92% of Asco TLC by Acantho, a company controlled by Hera Group, and Ascopiave. After the operation, Acantho shareholders will hold the following shares: Hera SpA 70,16%, Con.AMI 16,84%, Ascopiave 11,35%, and the Province of Treviso 1,65%.

Strategic operation for the ICT sector

The operation represents a strategic step for the Hera Group and the Ascopiave Group in ICT sector, in line with their industrial plans. The merger will allow the new Acantho to obtain operational and commercial synergies significant and to offer broader, more efficient, innovative and competitive solutions in terms of costs and sustainability to customers.

Asco TLC and Acantho have many common characteristics in terms of industry and ICT services offered, and the incorporation of assets and expertise into a single company aims to expand the range of services in the information technology and telecommunications sector, with a particular focus on high-density industrial areas where the company is already active through other business lines.

Improve supply relationships

The merger aims to improve supply relationships with citizens and companies of the territories served, allowing Acantho to offer technologically advanced commercial proposals. These proposals will be flexible and integrated to meet the different needs of customers and stakeholders, including highly performing and reliable connectivity, telephony and data center services.
