Hera, bills payable with Amazon Pay

Hera customers can now pay their bills via Amazon Pay, a secure option accessible from the My Hera app itself.

There is also Amazon Pay among the options available to Hera customers to pay their bills. After the agreements concluded in recent months for digital payments, the multi-utility thus continues to improve the user experience of its customers, focusing on highly innovative services that are able to respond to the needs of an increasingly "connected" and demanding public.

Available via the web from Hera Online Services but also on smartphones from the free My Hera app, the Amazon Pay option allows you to complete the payment in a few clicks, without entering your credit card details and in total security, with execution times that are around 30 seconds (six times lower than the classic online methods).

Simply select the bill to pay and choose the Amazon Pay payment option: after logging in with your Amazon account details, it will only remain to choose the credit card to use among those stored in your profile. Immediate payment confirmation will arrive via email directly from Amazon Pay.

With this operation, Hera intends to offer its customers already equipped with the My Hera app and/or already registered with the Hera Online Services a further way of simplified management of utilities. In addition to this objective, there is also that of increasingly expanding the audience of those who choose to switch to a digital payment method, thanks to a solution designed for those who have an Amazon account and who therefore have a greater propensity and familiar with online shopping.

Furthermore, the "social login" method is becoming increasingly popular and, when available, is opted for by more than half of the users because it overcomes some typical resistance to change, proving to be easier than normal registration and involving one less password to to memorize.

This further innovation, under the banner of safety, simplicity and immediacy, signed by the world customer experience champion, consolidates the quality standards of the service offered to its customers by Hera, the most digital utility among the 13 examined by a survey by Utilities.

An integral part of the broader process of digitalisation of infrastructures and services that the Hera Group has been undertaking for some time, this agreement follows those on digital payments concluded in recent months with: Unicredit (Virtual Account), MyBank of PRETA SAS (a company controlled by EBA Clearing), Jiffy/BancomatPay powered by SIA and the CBI Consortium for the CBILL service, and thus confirms the multi-utility's commitment in favor of the UN Agenda for 2030 and the European Union's strategy for creating a digital single market based on three pillars: improving online access to goods and services for consumers and businesses, creating an environment conducive to the development of digital networks and services, maximizing the potential of growth of the digital economy.

“Every second that innovation allows us to save – he comments Stefano Venier, Chief Executive Officer of Hera – increases the quality of our life. In this sense, after the agreements on digital payments concluded in recent months with other partners, we wanted to build a proposal which, thanks to the particular characteristics of the Amazon Pay option, allows us to express even higher standards of service, reducing the times of payment, expanding the potentially interested user base and, more generally, relaunching our commitment on the many fronts of digitalisation. On the other hand - concludes the CEO of Hera - the value chains are increasingly moving towards smart channels and to seize all the opportunities of such a scenario, the continuous search for strategic partnerships such as the one signed with Amazon becomes fundamental."
