Hera: the fourth edition of HeraSolidale is underway

Part of the fourth edition of HeraSolidale, a support project dedicated to seven organizations that deal with the environment and solidarity.

In the last edition Hera managed to raise 370 thousand euros, to which were added the almost 64 thousand euros donated by the employees of the multi-utility, in an extraordinary edition of HeraSolidale, in favor of the Health Services of Emilia-Romagna, Veneto, Friuli-Venezia Giulia , Marches.

By participating in HeraSolidale, Hera Group workers can make a donation through a monthly debit in the pay slip or with the Hextra company welfare system. At the same time, the company will allocate 1 euro for each new Hera Comm customer to the project. Customers, in turn, can participate by choosing, when signing the contract, to allocate an additional euro to one of the organizations involved.

Speaking precisely of the latter, five are chosen through a process involving workers on the basis of certain criteria, including the notoriety and transparency of the activities and their contribution to one or more sustainability and development objectives defined in the UN Agenda for 2030 (health and well-being, quality education, life under water, life on land, peace, justice and strong institutions). The other two were chosen by Hera because they are active in the environmental protection sector. The first, Marevivo Onlus is engaged "Let's save our seas from plastic”, a project to clean up the Italian seas through the collection of plastic waste in the waters of ports and nautical clubs using modern technologies. The second, Treedom Foundation Onlus has launched “Let's green Madagascar!”, a plan that offers a sustainable and long-term alternative to agriculture, in an area of the island where entire forest areas and old agricultural land are burned, with the creation of a nursery of forest species and fruit trees, the formation and planting of trees, guaranteeing food sovereignty and income opportunities.
