“Next Monday Hera and Acegas-Aps are planning to sign the start of exclusive negotiations to reach a possible aggregation”. This was reported by financial sources to the Radiocor agency, confirming some press rumors about the possible merger between the two multiservices (the first active in Emilia Romagna, the second in Friuli Venezia Giulia and Veneto).
The two companies are publicly controlled and listed on the stock exchange. Hera is not new to merger operations on the Stock Exchange. The Bologna-based company, born in 2002 from the merger of 11 public service companies in Emilia Romagna, concluded in 2005 the first Italian merger between listed multiutilities, with Meta of Modena.
