Heidelberg Cement's takeover bid on Italcementi began today, more than a year after the first announcement. The offer concerns the 55% stake in the Italian group (maximum 192.098.873 ordinary shares) not yet owned by the Germans, who have already taken over 45% from Italmobiliare. The deal will close on September 30.
The takeover bid is aimed at delisting the Italcementi shares from the listing on the Piazza Affari. Except for periods of extension of the offer, it is envisaged that the payment of the shares to the holders will take place on 7 October.
At the beginning of the afternoon, the Italcementi share on the Stock Exchange moves on parity, at 10,57 euro.
