HangarBicocca: the appointments of the Business Culture Week

The program of free exhibitions and activities at HangarBicocca thickens during the Corporate Culture Week, thanks to the support of Pirelli which guarantees the international quality of the programming and the possibility of producing site-specific exhibitions designed and created internally.

During the Corporate Culture Week the proposals at the Pirelli art space intensify and include Saturday November 16 guided tours and Sunday 17 November the workshops for children both in HangarBicocca that at the FPirelli wave

Saturday 23 and Sunday 24, it will be possible to visit the review of over 160 images that have made the history of the legendary Calendar set up for the celebrations. The selection of historical shots is taken from the testimonies of over 30 famous photographers who shot past editions of The Cal from 1964 to 2013. Among the signatures of internationally recognized authors in the world of communication and art: Robert Freeman, Harri Peccinotti, Sarah Moon, Bert Stern, Herb Ritts, Richard Avedon, Bruce Weber, Annie Leibovitz, Peter Lindbergh, Mario Testino, Patrick Demarchelier, Mert & Marcus, Peter Beard, Karl Lagerfeld, up to Steve McCurry.

The December 5 finally Ragnar Kjartansson returns with a live musical performance within the exhibition Islands by Dieter and Björn Roth: an event that also coincides with the return of The Visitors, extended until 5 January 2014, after the great success of the public.  

The program of free exhibitions and activities is made possible thanks to the support of Pirelli which guarantees the international quality of the programming and the possibility of producing site-specific exhibitions designed and created internally: a contribution that makes this institution a real design workshop i whose research and innovation processes well reflect the company's values. 

In continuity with this commitment, the choice to present the Pirelli Calendar at HangarBicocca, one of the expressions of the company's constant attention to the expressive languages ​​of the present: since 1964, the Calendar, through the interventions of the best names in international photographic research, offers in fact a privileged point of view on the changes of customs and on the transformations of contemporary aesthetics.

Dates:

Saturday November 16 – Corporate Culture Week: free guided tours for adults and children. The exhibitions can be visited.
Sunday November 17 – Corporate Culture Week: free activities for adults and children. The exhibitions are closed to the public.
Thursday 21 and Friday 22 November - HangarBicocca is closed to the public.
Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 November – Exhibition with 160 images by the great photographers who have made the history of the Pirelli Calendar; show Islands by Dieter and Bjorn Roth (until February 9, 2014).
5th December – Reopening to the public of The Visitors (until to January 5, 2014) and performance by Ragnar Kjartanasson.
